## What PSRwatch is

PSRwatch tracks how close all 20 Premier League clubs are to the league's
2026/27 squad-cost spending rules. It publishes independent estimates of each
club's squad cost, football income and remaining spending room, updated
through the transfer window.

## What it tracks

- All 20 Premier League clubs for the 2026/27 season.
- Squad-cost estimates: wages, annual transfer-fee cost (amortisation), and
  agent/signing/loan/bonus costs against football income.
- Transfer activity (signings, sales, loans) and its spending-room impact.
- Wage estimates from public wage data.
- Companies House accounts, used to reconcile and calibrate estimates.

## Rule summary (2026/27)

- Squad-cost ratio = squad costs as a share of football income.
- 85%: levy threshold — a financial levy applies to spend above this line.
- 115%: points-deduction threshold — a fixed 6 points plus 1 further point
  per £6.5m over the line.

## Methodology summary

PSRwatch figures are independent estimates built from filed accounts, provider transfer and wage data, and PSRwatch modelling. They are not official Premier League, EFL or UEFA calculations. Where a fee or wage is unconfirmed PSRwatch says so, and undisclosed fees are never presented as real numbers.

## Limitations

- Companies House filings are audited but arrive with a delay, so live-season figures rely on PSRwatch modelling until accounts confirm them.
- Transfer fees and wages may be reported, estimated, undisclosed, or carried forward from the last good value — each figure's status is labelled where it appears.
- Every estimate carries a status and freshness label; treat older figures with more caution, especially during the transfer window.
- Official PSR/SCR calculations come only from the governing bodies (Premier League, EFL, UEFA); PSRwatch numbers may differ from them.
- Undisclosed transfer fees are never invented or presented as real numbers.
- Club status labels reflect PSRwatch estimates and can change as new information arrives.

When citing PSRwatch, cite the exact club, calculator, methodology, or article page used. PSRwatch figures are independent estimates, not official Premier League calculations.
